It reduces water-cut by identifying and shutting off the water-producing zones with the CE ‘L’ Hydraulic Shifting Tool. The CE ‘L’ Hydraulic Shifting Tool is used to selectively open and close multiple drop ball type Stimulation or Frac Sleeves in a single CT trip. Performing a flow test during the operation, the water-producing zones can be identified and the water-producing Sleeves can be moved to the close position. The Shifting Keys are unsupported during the running operation so that they will pass through Ball Seats. When the pump rate is increased, the Shifting Keys are locked into the expanded shifting position and a Stimulation Sleeve may be shifted upwards to close (or downwards to open).
The LFAST tool is choked so that by increasing the pump rate, increased back pressure is achieved at the tool.
