CE CT Tubing Anchor
The CE CT Anchor is a hydraulically activated tool used to securely anchor the CT tool string inside the tubing. The CT Anchor is commonly used in operations where maintaining a stationary tool string, even when subjected to high axial loads, is critical. Among the popular applications include tubing cutting, high flow production logging, high-pressure treatments, perforating and hydraulic stroking operations.
When the BHA differential pressure is increased over the CE CT Anchor activation pressure, the hardened slips engage the tubing wall. A high-strength cone supports the slips to generate a large holding force. Reducing the differential pressure at the CT Anchor causes the slips to retract and the CT BHA can then be moved up or down the well accordingly. The CE CT Anchor features an emergency shear release mechanism, as a contingency.
The CE CT Tubing Anchor is available to suit tubing sizes from 2 3/8” through to 5 ½”. Other sizes are available on request.
